Evanston 5K has been cancelled for 2020
CINCINNATI, Ohio (March 20, 2020) – The Evanston 5K set for April 4 is cancelled for this year due to the COVID-19 virus.
I’m writing to offer options for your registration.
We ask that you consider donating your registration to support the operating costs of the Evanston Employment Resource Center (EERC). The EERC empowers individuals to improve employment opportunities by connecting them to community wide employment resources and social services. The EERC host employment-related informational programs, healthy lifestyle workshops and provides access to computers, internet access and copy machine to support an individual’s search for employment. The EERC is located at 3301 Montgomery Road in the historic Five Points Flat Iron Building in the heart of Evanston. During this health crisis, the EERC is operating remotely and busy as ever responding to critical needs of community residents.
Alternately, you could transfer your registration of $25 for the ticket cost of the Evanston Gala, Oct 3, 2020, 11am-2pm, Xavier University Cintas Center. We hope for 600 attendees this year. If you feel that the above options are not possible, you may request a refund of your registration fee.
We ask that you make a choice by April 1st.

Description
Join us for the annual Evanston 5K run/walk happening on Saturday, April 4, 2020 beginning at 8:30 AM. Event begins and ends at the Evanston Recreation Center. Food, drinks and post-race activities to follow!
This family-friendly community event will kick off at the Evanston Recreation Center starting at 8:30am and follow a 3.1 mile route through the community. Runners and walkers of all speeds and abilities are welcome!

Race Divisions: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over
Awards: Top Male and Female and Top male and female in each age group

After Run/Walk Celebration for youth and families at Evanston Recreation Center provided by Music Resource Center

Adults $25 . Youth 17 and under are $15.

Chip Timing
This year's event will be timed using MyLaps Disposable bib tags. The chip will be on the bib number. No need to turn in pull tags or return the timing chip.
